Parlance is a training company offering tailored workplace learning solutions for organisations accross New Zealand. We design training of all types, for all sectors, and produce training content for training and eLearning. Whatever the specific problem you're having, we can offer a bespoke workplace training solution to address it and help you achieve behavioural change in your organisation.

About the Parlance team

Formed in 2021, the Parlance team has collective experience working with some of New Zealand's leading tertiary providers, Government organisations, health providers and large corporates. As a group of highly experienced sector professionals, we have been collectively innovating, developing and delivering training at tertiary/vocational level for several decades.

Stephen White

Director of Solutions Design

Stephen is professionally qualified in Social Work, with additional graduate and post-graduate qualifications in Psychology and Public Health.

Along with extensive practice experience in mental health and addiction Stephen has worked in tertiary education settings for 20+ years holding academic and management roles. He is very experienced in instructional design, training and learning facilitation, academic programme development, assessment and moderation, and flexible learning practices and online education.

Brad White

Director of Business Development

Brad is an experienced commercial manager and adept at understanding the needs of small to medium businesses. With a passion for team and staff development, Brad understands that the need to manage information and training deployment within SME’s is critical. 

Faced with the increasing uncertainty in a post-COVID world, its vital that businesses of all sizes invest in the development of their teams. Brad acts as the interface between helping clients identify what their needs are, and translating that back into platform development and training solutions.

Paddy Ward

Director of Digital Production

Paddy is an expert at utilising the very latest technologies to create innovative training and communications. 

Paddy’s masters research and his work focus on new methods for training people using the very latest technologies such as augmented/virtual reality to modernise today’s work environments. Paddy’s background in hospitality included many years as a manager, which led on to many more years of training people and developing training systems and materials. After hospitality, Paddy moved on to spend his recent years in vocational training at tertiary level, designing & developing innovative training solutions for a wide range of trades and occupations.

Wayne Lim

Director of Operations

Wayne is a manager with a 25+ year track record in strategic marketing, business development and operations in both commercial businesses and the public sector. 

Wayne has owned and managed retail, trade and wholesale businesses in the construction sector, as well as holding senior management roles in health sector management, vocational training and tertiary education. He understands small and large businesses and what makes them successful. Having spent some time managing the design and development of training systems for the private and public sectors, Wayne knows there are huge opportunities for businesses that recognise the value that good training can bring.
